Foix Canoe 2010
  • It’s over !

In order to win on this beautiful hot and sunny Sunday, one had to go fast, not to commit any mistake, or being named Jessica Fox. This young Australian women amazed the 3000 spectators gathered on the banks of the Ariège river by winning gold in to different categories: single canoe and kayak women. This is a real accomplishment, considering the time and efforts needed to master only one specialty.

Globally, at the end of this competition, we can observe that the level of junior athletes keeps on improving and that the gap separating them from the senior is seriously narrowing each year. This is promising for futures confrontations in the next years. Another good point to highlight is the emergence and the positive development of the Canoe single women category.

The next ICF Canoe Slalom Junior World Championships will take place in Wausau, United States of America, in 2012.

  • And for Little children as well

If there are a few who don't care at all about the races happening on Ariege, they are the very-little children. For them, Rebech is before it all the airbag games waiting for them at the animations village... canoeing, it will be for later... once big!
